Questions to Ask Before Service
To ensure against unlawful practices by your steam cleaning and pressure washing service provider:
Ask for Certification
Request proof of certification or documentation of training in EPA compliance for water management.
Inquire About Reclamation
Ask if a reclamation unit will be used during the service.
Request a Pollution Prevention Voucher
Ensure the service provider provides a ‘Pollution Prevention Voucher’ upon completion of the service.
Verification through Photos:
Inquire whether the service provider takes photos of the work as verification of compliant wastewater management.
Check for Reclaimed Water
Ask if runoff water is being reclaimed and, if so, inquire about its disposal location. Request a copy of the company’s Best Management Practices (BMPs) for steam cleaning and pressure washing services.
